It has its origins in beer Pilsener Brauart in Denmark, while today it is available in over seventy countries in the world, including Germany.

The name Tuborg springs from the name of the first brewery in Hellerup, Copenhagen. The property was named after its previous owner "Thuesborg", in German "Thues Castle". From "Thuesborg" in common usage Tuborg became very fast.
